Why our Silver is rhodium, not plain sterling: sterling silver on its own scratches and tarnishes easily. So we only use solid 925 sterling silver where it is protected, as the rich core inside our gold vermeil.

The letter size is the total height of the finished name, from the top of the tallest letter to the bottom of the lowest, so capitals and tails like g, y or p are included.
Small is 10 mm (0.4"), Medium 13 mm (0.5"), Large 16 mm (0.65"). Medium is what most people choose. How wide your piece comes out depends on your name and your alphabet. A very long name is kept to a width that sits beautifully, so its letters can come out a little shorter than the size you picked. The line under the preview always shows the exact size of the name you typed.

What is the Custom Cyrillic Multiple Name Necklace?
Every name is its own small pendant, made from one sheet of metal rather than assembled from separate letters, then set into the chain with a little space between them. Worn, they fall at different heights along the collarbone, the way a family does. It belongs to our personalized name necklaces.

Four finishes, and they are not the same kind of thing underneath.
- Gold · 18K Plated, Silver · Rhodium Plated and Rose Gold · 18K Plated. A stainless steel base, never brass, finished in 18K gold PVD, rhodium or 18K rose gold PVD. PVD bonds the finish to the steel, so it is far more durable than standard gold plating and fully waterproof.
- 18K Gold Vermeil. Solid 925 sterling silver under a minimum of 2.5 microns of real 18K gold. That is genuine precious metal, noticeably heavier in the hand, and warmer in color.
The plated three are the tougher option. Vermeil is the precious one.
Can I wear it in the shower or the pool?
In Gold, Silver and Rose Gold, yes. Those three are fully waterproof and tarnish resistant, so you can shower, swim, sweat and sleep in it without taking it off.
In 18K Gold Vermeil, take it off first. Vermeil is real gold over solid sterling silver rather than a hard industrial coating, so it asks for the care fine jewelry has always asked for: off before swimming, off before a long soak, and on after perfume rather than before.
Will it fade, tarnish or turn my skin green?
No. Skin turns green because of the brass or copper underneath cheap plating, and no Gemiria piece is built on either. The plated finishes have a nickel free finish, and 18K Gold Vermeil is nickel free through and through.
The plated finishes are covered for 10 years against premature tarnishing, discoloration and chain or clasp failure under normal wear.
18K Gold Vermeil has its own 2 year warranty on the same terms.
Is it hypoallergenic?
Yes. Our Gold, Silver and Rose Gold finishes are made on a stainless steel base, never brass, with a nickel free finish: the surface that touches your skin is 18K gold, rhodium or 18K rose gold. That is why most sensitive skin wears them happily every day, with no green marks and no irritation.
If you have a diagnosed nickel allergy, choose 18K Gold Vermeil. It is solid 925 sterling silver under real 18K gold, nickel free through and through.
How many characters fit?
Up to 5 names on this piece, each up to 12 characters. Each name goes in its own field, so you never have to fit two into one.
Russian, Ukrainian, Serbian and Bulgarian spellings are all made as typed, including the letters that exist in only one of them.
How long is the chain, and which length should I choose?
Three lengths, and every necklace includes a 2" / 5cm extender.
- S, 14" / 35cm. Sits high on the collarbone.
- M, 16" / 40cm. Falls just below it. Our most popular length.
- L, 18" / 45cm. Sits lower, for a relaxed layered look.
Buying it as a gift and do not know her chain length? Choose M. With the extender it covers 16" to 18".

What happens if the name comes out wrong?
If the error is ours, we replace it free or refund you in full, and we cover the return shipping with a prepaid label. Report it within 14 days of delivery with your order number and a photo.
If the spelling submitted was wrong, we cannot remake it free, because the piece was made to exactly that text. This is why the live preview exists, and why customization can still be changed within 12 hours of ordering, before production starts.
Personalized items are exempt from the standard EU right of withdrawal under Consumer Rights Directive Article 16(c). That exemption never applies to a defect or a production error.
How do I look after it?
Very little, and none of it is fussy.
- Wipe it with the included microfiber cloth after lotion or perfume.
- For a deeper clean use mild soap and warm water, then pat dry.
- Store it in its box, and keep pieces apart so they do not scratch each other.
- Keep it away from bleach, chlorine soaking, abrasive cleaners and ultrasonic cleaners.
- In 18K Gold Vermeil, take it off before swimming, long soaks, perfume and hairspray.
Can the names be in different scripts on the same piece?
Not on this one. The Cyrillic Multiple Name Necklace is made for Cyrillic, so every name is written in Cyrillic letters. For a family whose names live in different alphabets, the Custom Multiple Name Necklace takes each name in whatever script it was given.
