HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR GEMIRIA JEWELRY
Your Gemiria piece is designed to last. Here's how to keep it looking perfect.
DAILY WEAR
✅ Wear it 24/7, in Gold, Rose Gold and Silver
Those three finishes are fully waterproof and tarnish resistant. Shower, swim, work out, sleep. Never take them off.
✅ 18K Gold Vermeil is the precious one
Solid 925 sterling silver under real 18K gold. Take it off before you swim, before a long soak, and before perfume or hairspray. Treated that way it stays beautiful for years.
✅ Kind to your skin
Hypoallergenic, with a nickel free finish. Won't irritate or turn your skin green.
✅ More durable than traditional gold plating
18K PVD coating is far more durable than standard gold plating. It won't rub off or fade with daily wear.
CLEANING
🧼 Weekly: Wipe with the included microfiber cloth
Use it to remove oils and maintain shine.
🧼 Monthly: Soap and water
Wash with mild soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly. Pat dry with a soft towel.
🧼 Deep clean: Baking soda paste (optional, plated finishes only)
Mix baking soda and water into a paste. Gently rub with a soft toothbrush. Rinse well.
WHAT TO AVOID
❌ Harsh chemicals
Bleach, chlorine, and strong cleaners can damage the finish over time. Brief exposure (like swimming in a pool) is fine for the plated finishes, but don't soak your jewelry in chemicals.
❌ Abrasive materials
Don't use steel wool or rough scrubbers. They can scratch the surface.
❌ Ultrasonic cleaners
Not necessary. Hand cleaning works better and is gentler.
STORAGE
When not wearing your jewelry:
Store it in the included Gemiria box.
Keep it away from direct sunlight (it won't tarnish, but the box might fade).
Store pieces separately to prevent scratches.
WHY A STAINLESS STEEL BASE WITH A PREMIUM FINISH
Our Gold, Rose Gold and Silver pieces are made on a stainless steel base, not brass. Gold and Rose Gold are finished with 18K PVD plating. Silver is finished with rhodium, one of the rarest precious metals in the world. Here's what makes them special:

Vermeil is a solid 925 sterling silver base under a layer of real 18K gold, at least 2.5 microns thick. That is the recognized definition, and most brands using the word work at the 10 karat minimum rather than 18.

Vermeil is precious rather than invincible. Keep it away from swimming pools, long soaks, perfume and hairspray, wipe it with the microfiber cloth after wearing, and store it in its box.
