Not misspelled by accident. Wrong on purpose. Because the system couldn't handle your accent, your script, your letters.

That happened to me constantly.

My surname is Völgyi. English speakers called me "Wall-G" because they couldn't pronounce the Hungarian vowels. Teachers skipped it. Coffee shops wrote "Daniel V." Every time someone tried to say it, something was lost.

And I am one of the lucky ones. My name only loses its accents. For hundreds of millions of people, it loses its whole alphabet. A name written Катарина at home becomes "Katarina" on every package. مريم becomes "Maryam." שרה becomes "Sarah." The script that connects a person to their family is stripped away and replaced with something that feels foreign.

That's why I built Gemiria: custom name jewelry in six authentic scripts.

The Breaking Point

I wanted to buy a necklace for my mother, Júlia. A simple name necklace with her name spelled correctly, including the Hungarian accent on the "u."

I searched everywhere. Every personalized jewelry store offered the same thing: generic Latin characters. No accents. No special letters. No authentic scripts.

The necklace arrived: "Julia."

Not Júlia. Julia.

The accent that connects her name to her Hungarian heritage, to her family, to her identity, deleted. As if it didn't matter.

But it does matter.

Your name isn't just letters. It's memory, culture, love. It's how your grandmother said it, how it looks in your native script, how it connects you to where you come from.

When jewelry is meant to be personal, "almost right" is never enough.

Who This Is For

We built Gemiria for anyone whose name has been simplified, romanized, or stripped of what makes it theirs.

We launched with K-pop fans who wanted their bias's name in real Korean Hangul, not romanized text. They wanted "김민지" not "Kim Minji."

How We Make It

We don't compromise on materials. Cheap jewelry tarnishes, fades, and breaks. That's not good enough for something you'll wear every day.

Three of our four finishes start with a stainless steel base, never brass. Gold and Rose Gold are finished with 18K PVD plating. Silver is finished with rhodium, one of the rarest precious metals in the world, valued for its brilliant finish and exceptional durability. The result is hypoallergenic, with a nickel free finish that won't irritate or turn your skin green.

Our PVD coating is far more durable than traditional gold plating. Shower with it. Swim with it. Never take it off.

The fourth is 18K Gold Vermeil: solid 925 sterling silver under a thick layer of real 18K gold, nickel free through and through. Heavier in the hand, warmer in color, and the most precious thing we make. It asks for a little more care, the way fine jewelry always has, and it is the one you choose when the moment deserves it.

And we support six authentic writing systems: Korean Hangul, Arabic, Hebrew, Cyrillic, Japanese (Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji), and Latin with full diacritical marks (á, é, ñ, ü, ő, and more). Not romanized. Not simplified. Exactly as your name should be written.

Jewelry Should Be Worn

We use durable stainless steel rather than bare sterling silver for a reason. You can own multiple pieces, layer them, change them depending on your mood or your day. Jewelry should be part of your life, not locked in a drawer. And when a piece is meant to mark something, our vermeil seals that same sterling silver under real 18K gold, so it keeps its shine instead of tarnishing out of sight.

We design every piece in Budapest, manufacture ethically in Asia for quality and affordability, and ship worldwide. Every piece is made to order in 7 to 10 days, then delivered free within 1 to 2 weeks.
